Doing Chores = Getting Paid?

Have you ever thought about what your child will do for a living "someday"?

I would encourage you to think less about what he or she will do "someday" and continue to work on what he or she will be doing much sooner... like when they are teens.

Here is what I am talking about:
Kids should be encouraged to take responsibility around the house, yes, of course! That is what this site is all about! Taking these lessons to the heart and learning to do them better and better can result in a pretty good income for your kids as a little business of their own.

Life Lessons
What better life lesson can we provide than teaching them about money and business? At the end of the day, if they have a good grounding in what it means to solve problems that people will find valuable, then this is a skill that translates into any profession.

Just the beginning...
This is the first of many pages dedicated to helping you and your kids see the long-term (like a couple years down the road) value in doing the job right!

Stay Tuned!
Think about it, would you pay a responsible teen (or pre-teen) to do some of the following chores for you? Maybe you already do. Research indicates that most of the entrepreneurs and small business owners today started out as kids with a small business.

Mowing the Lawn
Babysitting
Errands
Cleaning windows
Cleaning the garage
Cleaning house
Raking the carpets
Weeding the garden/lawn
Spreading mulch
Covering or Moving plants
Picking up pet poop
Raking leaves
Putting up / Taking down Christmas decorations
... you get the idea.

More to come... and lessons about how to do them right!
